The city of Sarajevo will ring in the New Year at Trg BiH and there certainly won't be a shortage of great parties in some of the restaurants around town or on the surrounding mountains.
December is actually the perfect month to visit the mountains around Sarajevo: Bjelašnica, Jahorina, Igman and Trebević. Those who love winter sports can take in some of their favorite activities, and those who aren't particularly into snow sports can enjoy a stroll in the fresh air.
