20 Years of Sarajevo Navigator

Launched as part of the USAID CCA Project, Sarajevo Navigator quickly outgrew the bounds of international support. We became a rare example of a project that survived, evolved, and transformed into a self-sustaining, commercially successful, and independent private entity.
From day one, our philosophy was clear: Destination Sarajevo knows no administrative boundaries! Driven by pure passion, we lived and breathed Sarajevo as a single, unified destination. We didn't just document stories—we created them. Through projects like the Sarajevo Holiday Market, the Sarajevo Ramadan Festival, magical nights at the Yellow Fortress, the revitalization of Wilson's Promenade, and Damir Imamović's unforgettable sevdah at Svrzo's House, we directly wove new threads into the cultural and tourism fabric of our city.
We step into our jubilee year of 2026 with a clearer vision than ever. As Sarajevo sees record visitor numbers, Sarajevo Navigator remains the primary communication bridge connecting the city's ever-expanding offerings with the growing number of visitors to Destination Sarajevo. As a key driver of development, we continue to push boundaries, positioning Sarajevo right where it has always belonged—at the very top of the global tourism map.
