It needs some repairs/rejuvenation to feel a little bit less sad. I think the 80s charm needs to be restored, not renovated/replaced, and if they were to reopen the pool, redo the carpeting, and work on adding some warm ambient lighting, especially to the lobby, this place would feel more comfortable throughout, and serve as both an ode to the glory days and a celebration of the present day. Overall, I felt like I was in good hands, but the place was a little worse for wear and a bit forlorn.
