In keeping with its aim of preserving traditions, the bazaar offers Sarajevo baklava and džandar baklava, ružica, kajmak pituljice and hurmadžike. All of the items are prepared using hand-rolled phyllo dough and only the finest ingredients, which ensures that every product has full flavor and desired quality.
The house specialty is džandar baklava or “the baklava of baklavas”, which takes at least three days to make, and is available in three different flavors: walnut, almond and hazelnut.
You can sit in the shop and enjoy the treats and, if you’d like to please your dear ones, friends or business associates, you can also select some sweets and have them packaged. This baklava shop makes free deliveries anywhere within the Destination Sarajevo area.
The shop is located in the heart of the old town, very close to Gazi Husrev Bey’s Mosque (on Čizmedžiluk 20), and can be reached via Sarači St. or Čurćiluk Veliki.

I bought a larger quantity as gifts based on reviews without trying it and regretted it..in the flood of Turkish baklavas that are solid but not that traditional for Bosnia, I expected to get something here that would at least resemble the baklavas made at home in Bosnia and that I have eaten in several places, but unfortunately that is not it..there is not a bit of lemon in the agda to give that nice contrast to that overwhelming sugar, it is just as dry as the Turkish ones, but with even less pronounced aromas, just fat and sugar..although the employees are wonderful and kind, and the packaging is unique and beautiful, these baklavas are certainly not worth the money.
This was an unexpected delight, exceeding five stars! It was the most beautiful surprise of our trip. We had originally planned to visit another dessert shop, but we were drawn to this one by chance when we passed by and were captivated by the glistening, tempting pastries in the window. As we stood at the entrance, several local regulars came out and enthusiastically struck up a conversation with us, each one smiling and assuring us that it was absolutely the best in town! They even offered their enthusiastic recommendations on which one to choose. Trying these traditional pastries for the first time, we experienced the genuine warmth and hospitality of Selajevo, completely devoid of any commercialism. The female staff inside were also incredibly patient, tirelessly explaining the differences between each flavor. We ended up buying two to go, finding a comfortable spot to enjoy them while watching the children chase pigeons. One bite and we were completely won over! Although it was indeed very sweet, the rich layers of the pastry, accompanied by a robust nutty aroma, perfectly balanced the sweetness. For me, it's irreplaceable, the best in town, and I don't want to try any other place. It has completely captured my heart and soul, so I definitely have to go back for more tomorrow!
