ICIKUM – International Center for Dance, Culture, Art, and Youth Novo Sarajevo

ICIKUM – International Center for Dance, Culture, Art, and Youth Novo Sarajevo, a contemporary cultural space, fosters the development of art, creativity, and community. It offers diverse programs, including theater, film, music, exhibitions, workshops, and festivals, creating a dynamic environment for artists, youth, and the public. Through production, education, and international cooperation, the center connects the local community with contemporary cultural trends, promoting new ideas and collaboration.

The center operates in the space of the former Vaso Pelagić House of Culture, founded in 1961, a place where great names of the Sarajevo pop-rock scene, renowned writers, and film, theater, and sports professionals began their careers.

During the war in the 90s, the Vaso Pelagić House of Culture was significantly devastated, and in the period immediately after the war, the Avaz Newspaper Publishing House was located in that space.

Today, various workshops, exhibitions, performances, lectures, concerts, and festivals are regularly held at the Center.
