BS: I ordered a local beer and sat down at the bar. Two waiters served me without any problems, and I mentioned to one of them that I was interested in Tito and his history. I looked at my phone, sent a few voice messages, and looked around the place, not disturbing anyone. After a while, two younger waiters came to take my place. After asking me several times if I was okay, the young waiter asked me directly if “it’s common in my country to stare at other people’s women.” I was completely taken aback. I replied that it wasn’t and that there must have been some misunderstanding. His response was even more hostile: “There’s no misunderstanding; I understand everything perfectly.” At that moment, I realized that I had naively interpreted his previous behavior towards me as normal or friendly. I assumed he was under a lot of stress and that was why he was putting the trays down so forcefully next to me, while I was, for example, paying attention to how well they made the foam on the coffee, and he was obviously thinking whatever he wanted to think. The overall impression was that he was deliberately trying to intimidate me and practically force me to leave, even though no one had explained to me beforehand that there was any specific problem with my behavior. If any member of staff felt that I was making anyone feel uncomfortable, the least they could have done was to politely address me and clearly explain the situation. Accusing a guest in such a way, immediately dismissing even the possibility of a misunderstanding and treating them with hostility is, in my opinion, not an acceptable way to treat guests. I finished my beer, thanked him and left to avoid an even more unpleasant situation. Unfortunately, given the way I was treated, I cannot recommend this place.
