Andar
The owner, Maida, had a wish to make use of a conceptual design that would preserve the family tradition of producing quality hand-made shoes. Several years ago, after inheriting the workshop as a member of the family's third generation, she was unable to find any artisans who would carry on the tradition in the best way, so she decided to change the shop's function.
The interior is dominated by elements and motifs related to the shoemaking trade, with wooden shoe forms all around, parts of shoes, menus in the shape of a sole, photographs and flowers that fit in nicely with the antiques and old Bosnian motifs.
It's interesting to mention the fact that the family always said they were going to the shop (radnja), and \"andar\" is actually the word \"radn(j)a\" spelled backwards. Guests from Spain told the owners that \"andar\" means \"to walk\" in their language. Also, \"andar\" can sometimes be used colloquially to mean \"let's sit in our shoes\" (go for a walk).
Andar is located on the main walking street, Sarači Street, not far from the entrance to Gazi Husrev Bey's Mosque.

Stumbled across this cozy place while I was strolling around. Love the story behind this place, the decor and vibe. A must visit for anyone in town for a chill and relaxing evening
We had Turkish tea here, but it didn’t really taste like Turkish tea. It was way too light. We asked them to make it stronger, but they said they couldn’t and that this was their standard. I didn’t like it.
Very tasty and cozy, everything was great!
Nice place and comes with a story. Enjoy!
