Deinos

The dance piece Deinos is performed on Saturday, 10 October 2026, at Novi teatar – ICIKUM Novo Sarajevo, starting at 19:30, as a MESS Premiere within the MESS Dance programme.

The work treats the body as a site of the repressed, of fear and inherited trauma, but also of resistance, freedom and transformation. It asks how the mechanisms of violence inscribe themselves in the body and pass through collective memory: which everyday gestures carry the experience of violence even when we have not lived it directly, and at what moment care becomes control, love possession, protection surveillance, and safety isolation. The starting point is the myth of Persephone and Hades.

Created and choreographed by Amila Terzimehić, performed by Selma Alispahić, Iva Prgić, Matea Mavrak, Ana Šprajc, Lara Musa, Mak Čengić, Ante Grizelj and Tarik Osmanagić. Produced by Novi teatar – ICIKUM Novo Sarajevo and Scena MESS. Running time: 60 minutes.

Tickets are on sale via kupikartu.ba and at all official outlets.
