My favourite meal of our holiday in Bosnia. After being bluntly told that they were fully booked, we decided to book ahead by a few days. Well worth the wait. A small place, good for an intimate dinner. Lots of old memorabilia and photographs. Comfy seats and cosy environment. House wine paired nicely with both our meals. It was easy to speak and get a hold of the waiters to order an extra side of bread. And the bread is the best i have ever had. Looked like a croissant on the outside but was pillow-soft on the inside. I dont know how they did that. Great value for money. It also appears to be a dog-friendly place.

Ordered the goulash and stewed figs in wine. Both excellent. The most charming restaurant! Attentive server. Pretty much requires a reservation. Cash only. Go hungry.
That is still the main restaurant to go. Whatever you order, always have bogaca with kajmak. It will fill your belly and its difficult to have the main, but its worth it. Restaurant inside looks like a summer weekend at grandmas, and the food tastes also like its made by grandma
We originally planned to try our luck the night before, but the restaurant was completely full. The gentleman who greeted us was incredibly attentive and professional, suggesting we rebook for lunch the following day and successfully reserving our seats. We arrived around 11 am the next day, and the tables were already covered with name tags of reserved guests; we were easily seated. Many more customers started arriving then, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance, or just showing up as soon as they open to try your luck! The food is of very high quality, offering many authentic and hearty traditional dishes. I especially recommend the freshly baked bread—crispy on the outside and soft and layered on the inside—absolutely the most exquisite and amazing bread I've had on this trip! This time, we didn't order the large meat platter, but instead ordered dishes like the stewed beef in a clay pot. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the broth was rich and flavorful. Finally, our chewing muscles, which had been eating grilled meat for days, could rest, and we loved this warm and comforting dish even more. The restaurant's decor is very stylish and atmospheric, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended!
The restaurant is usually fully booked from 5 pm onwards, so you should plan your visit accordingly and reserve a table. The highly praised bread is only available by the portion; the small two-slice option was rather disappointing. When we asked for a second spoon for the tomato soup, we were given a second plate and a ladle to transfer it to, which we were very pleased about. Unfortunately, the grilled vegetables were very charred, but the steak was excellent. The restaurant is quite smoky, as the kitchen is almost entirely open to the tables on the lower level.
