good old collegium artisticum. interesting exhibition "together". i was particularly impressed by the posters from the 80s. it's a shame that skenderija, that great symbol of sarajevo, is falling into disrepair.
A wonderful exhibition hall, but the only complaint I have is the works themselves that are exhibited there. Why are you putting AI art in the hall, and going against the very idea of art? I think this is a huge insult to all the other talented artists whose works have to be next to this nonsense. Do better.
Galerija, koja danas djeluje kao organizaciona jedinica JU Centar za kulturu Kantona Sarajevo, otvorena je 6. aprila 1975. godine, u povodu 30. godišnjice oslobođenja Sarajeva u Drugom svjetskom ratu.
Ime je Collegium Artisticum dobio po progresivnom kulturno-umjetničkom pokretu, kojeg su umjetnici lijeve političke orijentacije (Vojo Dimitrijević, Oskar Danon, Jahiel Finci...) osnovali u osvit Drugog svjetskog rata, 1939. godine. Pokret je zbog svog antifašističkog opredjeljenja nedugo po osnivanju bio zabranjen od strane režima Kraljevine Jugoslavije.
Tokom preko četiri decenije njegova postojanja u Collegium Artisticumu postavljeno je više od hiljadu izložbi. U ovoj galeriji izlagali su svi relevantni umjetnici Bosne i Hercegovine i bivše Jugoslavije, a Grand Prix kojeg Collegium Artisticum dodjeljuje na svojoj godišnjoj, Šestoaprilskoj izložbi, smatra se jednom od najprestižnijih umjetničkih nagrada u regionu.
U prostoru Collegium Artisticuma djeluju i tri umjetnička udruženja - ULUBiH (Udruženje likovnih umjetnika), ULUPUBiH-a (Udruženje likovnih umjetnika primijenjenih umjetnosti) i AABiH (Asocijacija arhitekata).
